With alternative dispute resolution mechanisms becoming an increasingly popular method of resolving disputes between parties in public and private international law, the new program has been designed to allow students the opportunity to gain an advanced understanding of the various options for the adjudication of disputes. Students will study these options from both a theoretical and practical perspective. In particular, students will examine how these methods of dispute resolution are played out in the international arena, while simultaneously offering them a grounding in the complexities of the U.S. litigation model. Like all of Fordham’s Master of Laws programs, the LL.M. in International Dispute Resolution will qualify students to sit for the New York State bar examination.
