Gerrish Legal is a Cabinet d'Avocat based in Paris and a Legal Consultancy based in Stockholm.

We are specialised in all areas of commercial law, including data protection, GDPR, new technologies, intellectual property, contract law and dispute resolution.       We are a start-up law firm, and we want to do things differently. Grâce à notre expérience en droit civil et en Common Law, notamment en droit français, en droit anglais et en droit européen, et compétent dans tous les domaines du droit commercial, nous fournissons des conseils pratiques et financièrement adaptés afin de vous accompagner dans l’installation, le développement ainsi que dans la protection et la défense de vos projets, innovations et affaires commerciaux.   Nous intervenons sur les questions de droit commercial, notamment la protection des données personnelles, RGPD, les nouvelles technologies, le droit de la propriété intellectuelle, droit des contrats et les contentieux.         

The traineeship will involve working in French and English, and working alongside our founding partner in all areas of French, English and EU commercial law. Each day is varied - one day you could be attending a client meeting, another day conducting research and article writing to working on client files by drafting contracts and consultations.       You will be heavily involved in client files and all activities of the law firm. For example, previous trainees have had their articles published, have spoken at client training seminars and have attended business trips in Stockholm, Paris, London, Barcelona and Brussels.        Our aim is to make sure that we give you the best possible experience and training to advance your legal career.        As part of our commitment to work-life balance, you will be able to work flexibly, remotely, in the office and at hours to suit your needs (this could include a part time internship - see more below) but we do require that in return for this internship experience that you are 100% committed during the time that you dedicate to Gerrish Legal activities.   

Who are you?   You will be ideally native in French and fluent in English and will be able to work easily in these languages (but we will consider mother tongue English speakers with French skills). Any other foreign language is an asset.       You will have studied or currently be studying commercial law subjects at university to LL.B/LL.M or other masters level (ideally involving a year abroad) and have a good understanding of French, Common Law and EU law and a keen interest in new technologies and data protection.        You will ideally also have some legal professional experience, in a law firm or legal department either via internships or a CDI / CDD.       Finally, as well as being a great future lawyer, and having excellent academic standing, you will be human, fun, and easy to work with and a fast learner.
