LLM in International Trade Law (Distance Learning)

Application

  • Application for most courses is direct to the University via our online application form (see here).

Requirements:

  • a degree in law.
  • a degree incorporating law elements or a joint honours degree incorporating law.
  • a non-law degree with appropriate work experience.
  • a comparable professional qualification.

Candidates without a degree or equivalent but with suitable work related experience may also exceptionally be considered


  • English Language Requirements: IELTS 6.5 Pearson Academic 62 (the University also accepts many other English language qualifications)
  • This programme requires one written reference to be provided with your application.

Curriculum

Students enrol on and complete each stage of the programme,all of which are at Masters level, before choosing to move onto the next stage or choosing to exit with the relevant award. The stages are Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and LLM.  

Modules: 
  • International Sale Contracts
  • Carriage of Goods
  • Legal Research

In addition to the three compulsory modules, this LLM provides the opportunity for students to study three options related to various aspects of international commercial activity. 

In order to obtain a Masters degree (LLM), students must complete an additional research project of between 15,000 and 17,000 words in an area of their choice, enabling them to explore a topic of particular interest to them in greater detail.
