Curriculum

This cluster of courses covers the fundamental aspects of transnational trade, including cross border sale of goods, financing of international trade, taxation issues, international intellectual property law regimes, and conflicts of law, in addition to legal issues relating to the international transportation of goods by air and sea.

The courses are particularly helpful for students who wish to gain a comprehensive understanding of cross-border transactions and plan to practise internationally.

Application

To enrol in the #16 program, a person must hold –

a) a degree in law at honours or masters level leading to admission to legal practice (for example an LLB or JD or equivalent), with a minimum GPA of 4.5; or
b) a degree in law leading to admission to legal practice (for example a LLB or equivalent) with a minimum GPA of 4.5, and either –
(i)hold a graduate diploma in legal practice or equivalent qualification; or
(ii) have completed at least two years of professional full-time (or equivalent) work experience in a legal environment, approved by the executive dean; or
c) an academic or professional qualification in law leading to admission to legal practice and be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the executive dean that the person has the requisite knowledge to complete the program.

To enrol in the #24 program, a person must hold –

a) a degree in law leading to admission to legal practice with a GPA of 4.5; or
b) an academic or professional qualification in law leading to admission to legal practice and be able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the executive dean that the person has the requisite knowledge to complete the program.

Application

To enrol in the #16 program, a person must hold –
