LLM in Human Rights Law

The LLM program is open to students who have already earned a first law degree that allows them to practice law in their home country.


For US graduates, applicants must have earned a JD.

Foundational Academic Courses

Students must complete 12 credit hours in the following required courses:


  • Human Rights Law (3 credits)
  • International Criminal Law OR International Humanitarian Law (3 credits)
  • International Law (3 credits)
  • One course in US Civil Rights Law (3 credit hours)
