Application

Applicants for admission to the Program must have obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from an institution accredited by the Council of Thammasat University. Applicants must pass selective examinations in accordance with the rules and procedures as determined by Thammasat University and Faculty of Law.

Curriculum

The Program is to produce legal expertise in different fields of law, as follows:

  • Private law
  • Criminal law
  • Public law
  • International law
  • Business law
  • International trade
  • Taxation law
  • Natural resources and environmental law

The instruction is conducted in the Thai language.


The LL.M. Program is an evening program and based upon the two-semester system. The program now offers 2 schemes: Scheme A and Scheme B.

Students contemplating Scheme A are required to take coursework from a list of courses offered and write up a thesis, which Scheme B has no requirement of a thesis. In addition to completion coursework from a lost of courses available, Scheme B students are required to submit, as a substitute for a thesis, a written work based on independent research and must also pass a comprehension examination.
