American Business Law LL.M.

Application

The program serves recent law graduates who wish to gain exposure to American Business Law for the purpose of practicing law in the United States as well as students who will use this expertise to aid their practice in their home country.

To apply you will have to provide:
  • Completed application form
  • All law school transcripts
  • All other degree transcripts
  • Personal statement
  • Resume
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • In addition, some international students may be required to submit results from the Test for English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) and/or the Law School Admission Test (LSAT)
  • While interviews are not a regular part of the admissions process, the admissions committee reserves the right to call any applicant for an interview during the evaluation process.

Curriculum

American Business Law LL.M. students are able to take advantage of the rich collection of business law courses offered at New York Law School. From among these courses students are offered an opportunity to select one specialization, by taking 3 courses (at least 10 credits) in a specific area of law. Students are able to choose this concentration from among a wide variety of courses and will work with the Program Director and the Office of Academic Affairs to construct a carefully individualized curriculum.
