Insurello is growing at a rapid pace! With a well-established team of  ~80 awesome Insurellians in Sweden, we are just opening our office in France. For that exciting development stage, Maria (Talent Acquisition Specialist) and I, Anthony (Country Operational Manager) are looking for an ambitious and solution-oriented Legal Counsel to join our team in Paris.

Currently, the team in France is just being formed but will grow by 10 Insurellians by fall 2021. Being one of the very first employees of Insurello in France means plenty of opportunities for professional development. You are the one providing in-house legal support for insurance claim cases and a go-to person with questions related to legislation and legal processes in France. Even though we are new on the French market, we have a team of Legal Counsels in Sweden, and the entire Finance & Expansion team will be here to support you!

The role includes responsibilities like the following:

• Handle complex insurance claims and assess them from various legislative perspectives;
• Assess rejected cases, appeal unreasonable rejections, learn how to optimise the claim process to reduce rejection rates;
• Educate Claims Specialists about general legislative principles;
• Help evaluate Insurello's core business, make it more effective and scalable in the new market;
• Help the team to build structures and procedures of business operations.  

To succeed and thrive in Legal Counsel role in Insurello, we see that you are a driven and result-oriented professional who is confident in solving complex legal cases and is not afraid to appeal unreasonable rejections. You are a decisive doer who would enjoy creating scalable structures through a business-minded approach. You can be described as an investigative and curious mind, enjoying the process of learning and finding solutions. 

 The experience and skills that support you in this role:

• A degree in Law. For example, Diplôme de Juriste Conseil d’Entreprise or Masters 2 in Law but you do not have to be a holder of Certificate of Aptitude for the Legal Profession (CAPA) for the role yet;
• Minimum of 2-3 of years of practical experience with legal processes (up to 5 years will suffice);
• French and English language proficiency; 
• Experience with insurance or consumer law in general and interest to help people who suffered personal injuries.
