LLM in Employment Law (Online)

Entry Requirements

Candidates for the LL.M. in Employment Law must a have a law degree from an accredited institution and have an academic background reflecting an ability to perform graduate level work. The Director of the LL.M. program will review applications using criteria set by the Dean and by the Faculty Graduate Legal Education Committee. A candidate will be granted admission to the LL.M. program if his or her application reflects a high likelihood that the candidate will be successful in the program.


  • Candidates for the LL.M. in Employment Law program must have a law degree from an accredited institution or be admitted to the bar. 

  • Candidates must also have an academic background reflecting an ability to perform graduate level work. 

  • Candidates who have not been admitted to the bar may be eligible for admission if their professional background includes experience in a related field, such as human resources.

Curriculum

The LL.M. in Employment Law provides working attorneys the opportunity to earn the degree while continuing their careers. Students visit Atlanta twice: at the start of the program for a 2-day Orientation and at the end for Thesis Presentation. Other than that, students can complete the program from any location, at the time most convenient for them. Delivery Method: Online (Asynchronous/ No live requirements). 


The LL.M. in Employment Law is a 24 credit hour program that can be completed over four semesters (16 months). Applications are accepted on a rolling basis for Fall entry.
