Feedback : LLM General Studies - Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law

Elise Bensimon gives us her experience feedback about Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, where she did an LL.M. in General Studies with a concentration in business law.

Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law was created less than 40 years ago, which is very recent. Yet, it is a top law school with an excellent national reputation. It is located in the heart of Manhattan on 5th Avenue.

The professors are well-known professionals, and very eager to transmit their knowledge and expertise.

LL.M students are well accompanied along their experience abroad, including months before their arrival.  Classes are mixed with LL.M and J.D students which is not the case in every law school, and this is really a plus in terms of integration, life-experience and learning.

The school provides many quality clerkship and internship opportunities as well as a lot of networking events in order to accompany its students and/or alumni in the professional life.

My LL.M at Cardozo remains one of the best experience of my life. I had the chance to meet many people, from all over the world and all over the U.S, and I regularly keep in touch with a majority of them ! The program was very complete. As a LL.M, we had special classes to teach us about legal writing, U.S constitutional law, moot court... Professors are very available and competent in their subject. They often are professionals too, so they can give us a practical vision of the subject.

The staff is very welcoming and the atmosphere is also very confortable with the cafeteria, the lounge, the lobby... The events organized help you always meet new people and experience the american life 100%.

The location of the Law School is one of the best to enjoy the City during breaks or after classes !

The LL.M clearly made my academic experience more interesting at many levels.

I feel more confident at work, because of my ability to adapt in an unknow environment and because I learned that hard work is the answer to almost every situation.

I am fluent in English (and legal English),  i have a U.S law degree and the NYS bar ... this is clearly an advantage in this area of globalization and a guarantee for foreign clients.

I would pick the exact same Law School if I had to start all over.
