Amazon`s Legal Department is looking for a Data protection/Privacy and Commercial Lawyer (m/f) to support our French business teams. You will be the primary point of contact for the business teams as well as our EU legal team on a broad range of data protection law related issues. You will provide day-to-day advice to our management teams and set up and conduct training plans on your areas of expertise. As part of the French legal team, based in Paris, you will also support the retail business and work on exciting projects dealing with a broad range of commercial legal issues.

Descriptif du poste


- Advising the business teams on all privacy related matters - Training the business teams on new legislation, develop and implement forms and processes for recurring issues and train the business teams on their use - Advising the business on strategic questions and coordinate pan-EU projects for business launches as well as privacy projects - Drafting and implementing privacy policies and standard documentation in close cooperation with the EU stakeholders - Proactive planning, advising and implementing legal programs and improvements to support and protect the business - Administration and resolution of issues arising as well as handling pre-litigation disputes - Providing day to day legal advice in the areas of regulatory, compliance, procurement, consumer law and privacy law

Profil recherché


Basic Qualifications - Fully qualified lawyer in France with outstanding legal qualification - Minimum 5 years post-qualified legal experience with at least two years at a law firm - Excellent written and oral communication skills in English Preferred Qualifications - Strong commercial background - Track record in data protection/privacy law - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Be able to draft and negotiate contracts in English - High degree of independence, initiative and decisiveness but also desire to be challenged and think outside the box - Great business and legal judgment, especially in situations involving uncertainty and ambiguity - Ability to deliver results, both as an individual contributor and as a member of the - European legal team - Capacity to lead projects and coordinate external advisors
