Descriptif du poste


Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for an Corporate Legal Counsel, Employment & Commercial (m/f) to support all our French offices and fulfillment centers. You will be the primary point of contact for the HR teams and work on a broad range of individual and collective employment law related issues. You will also provide day-to-day business law advice to our management teams in the fulfillment centers, set up training plans and conduct trainings on site. As part of the French legal team based in Paris you will also support the retail business, work on exciting projects and deal with a broad range of legal issues. Your responsibilities: - Advising the HR teams for our corporate office in Paris, as well as the HR teams in our operations sites in France on all employment related matters (e.g. disciplinary proceedings, performance management, consultation, etc.) - Training the HR teams on new legislation, develop and implement standard forms and knowledge management tools for recurring issues and train the HR teams on the use of forms and processes - Advising the business on strategic questions, including the hiring strategy for seasonal temporary workforce - Drafting and implementing employment policies and standard documentation in close cooperation with the HR teams and stakeholders across the EU - Proactive planning, advising and implementing legal programs and improvements to support and protect the business - Administration and resolution of issues arising in existing relationships as well as handling pre-litigation disputes - Structuring, drafting and negotiation of a wide variety of procurement agreements including agreements for the purchase of goods and services, including security, catering, temporary workers, utilities, plant and machinery - Providing day to day legal advice in the areas of regulatory compliance, procurement, consumer law, employment law, health and safety

Profil recherché


- Fully qualified lawyer in France with outstanding legal qualification - Minimum 4 years post-qualified legal experience with at least two years at a law firm with focus on employment law and experience in collective employment law a plus - Excellent English skills that include ability to draft contracts - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work closely with clients and peers - Gained wide-spread experience of employment and commercial law matters - Thrive in fast paced, dynamic, growth environments and will have a strong reputation for delivering results - Earned the trust of his or her business partners through the consistent demonstration of exceptionally strong commercial and legal judgment, especially in situations involving uncertainty and ambiguity - Have the ability to think globally about the interests of the overall business and not exclusively focus on the needs/interests of the local territory - Great business judgment especially in ambiguous situations
